Max Schreck (September 6, 1879 - February 20, 1936) was a German actor who created the scariest vampire in cinema history as Count Orlok in F.W. Murnau's 'Nosferatu'. He also had a small role in 'Faust'. He is the character portrayed by Willem Dafoe in 'Shadow of the Vampire'.
