Tim Robbins, born October 16, 1958, in California, is an American actor, director, and producer. Known for his tall stature and distinctive appearance, Robbins gained worldwide fame for his role as Andy Dufresne in 'The Shawshank Redemption'. He also won an Oscar in 2004 for his performance in 'Mystic River'. Known for his theater work, Robbins founded 'The Actors' Gang' theater company in Los Angeles.
